CEOs of HSBC, British Airways, Barclays & Addison Lee unveil Artificial Intelligence strategies for the first time
LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM, June 12-13, ExCeL Exhibition Centre – over 20,000 delegates convene for The AI Summit, London in what is poised to be the world’s largest AI event.
Part of the TechXLR8 headline show of London Tech Week, 600+ speakers including global C-Suite from major corporations – Facebook, Mastercard, Google, BUPA and Volvo – unveil their vision for how AI will enhance human productivity.
Opening with a major address from Rt Hon Jeremy Wright, SoS of DMCS, who will announce the UK’s ambitions to compete as a global AI powerhouse, world leaders from across government, business and technology are set to address the opportunity AI presents for business and the ethical and social challenges raised by automation and AI powered systems.
Supported by all major AI-pioneers – including Google, Microsoft, IBM Watson, Oracle, Intel – and over 500 technology exhibitors, the AI Summit showcases the most cutting-edge AI innovations across a 350,000 sq ft expo featuring robotic displays and immersive demos, and inspiring product launches including AI-enabled gloves to stabilise tremors caused by Parkinson’s disease, drone catching defence technology, and autonomous wheel chairs. The exhibition will close with a finale from Richard Browning (the “original Iron Man” and Founder of Gravity Industries) flying a jet suit from the ExCeL Centre to the river Thames.
Now in its Fourth Annual Edition, the AI Summit will be held as part of the TechXLR8 festival of disruptive technology and is co-located alongside five major shows covering the business impact of Blockchain, Cloud, AR & VR, IoT and Quantum Computing.
Highlights include first-time keynotes from John Flint, Group CEO, HSBC – who will unveil HSBC’s AI transformation strategy – before British Airways Chief Executive Alex Cruz delivers an address outlining the airlines plans to use AI to drive customer experience. Facebook’s EMEA Vice President, Nicola Mendelsohn will present on the implications of AI for privacy and security at the tech giant, followed by keynotes from Ashok Vaswani, CEO, Barclays UK and Andy Boland, CEO, Addison Lee.
