–When compared to last summer’s season, requests to operate flights increase by 11.9% with 66,000 scheduled flights

Airlines are offering 11.5 million seats with Alicante-Elche Airport for the 2017 summer season starting on March 26th and continuing until on October 28th. This figure shows an increase of 13.7% compared to the previous summer season.
The airlines have also increased their requests to operate movements this summer by 11.9%, which means there are close to 66,000 scheduled flights.
As for Alicante Airport’s connectivity, airlines will offer a total of 203 routes for the summer season (routes with more than 30 outbound movements), in other words, 15 more connections than last summer.
By zone, Europe is responsible for the bulk of the offers, growing by 14.3 with more than 10,030,000 available seats. The Spanish market is also up significantly with more than 1,162,000 seats on offer, 10.2% more than last summer. Africa also increases its numbers by 8.1%, with 266,000 seats.
