- The five-star BlueBay Red Sea Cruise has a capacity for 300 passengers and will complete a tour of the Red Sea’s most emblematic cities for the first time, visiting Aqaba, Yanbu, Medina, Jeddah and Mecca.
Jamal Satli Iglesias, the BlueBay Hotels Chairman, presented the BlueBay Red Sea Cruise in Dubai today. The Spanish company aims to expand its tourism offer with its first cruise ship, and will visit historical sites in the Red Sea, including cities in the region like Mecca and Medina that were off limits to some until now. The Spanish company announced the news during the ATM (Arabian Travel Market) international tourism fair taking place in Dubai from April 23rd to 25th. BlueBay Hotels is the eighth Spanish hotel company by international presence and the 10th largest hotel group regarding hotel rooms[1].
“BlueBay Red Sea Cruise is the first BlueBay Hotels cruise ship where we’ve applied our hotel experience to levels of services and the very latest technology in infrastructure and equipment. Passengers can enjoy an experience that will immerse them in the history and traditions of the Red Sea’s most emblematic cities,” says Jamal Satli Iglesias, BlueBay Hotels Chairman.
The five-star cruise line with a capacity for 300 passengers will set sail in October 2018 and its final route of the season will be in June 2019. Passengers will visit some of the most important cities in the Red Sea for eight days, including Aqaba, Yanbu, Medina, Jeddah and Mecca. It is the first cruise ship to include cities like Mecca and Medina on its route, which are typically restricted to visitors. On the final day, passengers can also enjoy a visit to Petra, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World in 1985.
The Med Queen has 144 cabins and suites, both interior and exterior, offering a luxurious and comfortable stay. Services include several restaurants serving a wide range of dishes, and it also offers activities for children. The ship’s staff is available 24 hours a day to provide passengers with the best possible stay.
