BlueBay Hotels has started 2019 on the right foot. The hotel company has opened a five-star grand luxury hotel in Fujairah City, the Blue Diamond AlSalam Resort*****GL, which is set on the shores of the Indian Ocean and is currently undergoing a soft opening.
This hotel is perfect for guests seeking a luxury experience, offering 379 bedrooms, suites and apartments, each carefully designed with the smallest of details in mind, and access to a balcony or terrace with views. The vast range of facilities offered by the hotel includes a private beach, haute cuisine restaurants, spa, gym, open-air shisha lounges, meeting rooms and a large dance hall.
Whether travelling for business or pleasure, you’ll find everything you’re looking for. All bedrooms are fitted out with an en-suite marble bathroom, air conditioning, satellite television, Wi-Fi and a safe, etc.
24-hour room service is also available for all guests staying in the Deluxe, Premium and Executive bedrooms, Diplomatic suites or the exclusive Royal Suite.
The Royal Suite: a room fit for a king

The Royal Suite can be found on the ninth floor of the hotel, with a surface area of 241m2 including two spacious master bedrooms with king-size beds. The suite comes with a marble bathroom with bathtub and shower, kitchen, coffee machine and free access to high-speed internet.

The 80-person El Etihad meeting room, meanwhile, is another option for functions, and can be divided into two smaller rooms if necessary.

The immediate challenges
BlueBay Hotels’ Regional Commercial Director for the Middle East, Shadi Karameh, outlined how his aim for this year is for the hotel to position itself as “the best 5-star hotel and beach resort in the area”, and to help “promote the Emirate (of Fujairah)”, as it finds itself competing with other, more internationally-renowned emirates such as Dubai and Abu-Dhabi.
