The Balearic Islands are the ideal setting for cycling, whether professional, amateur, or simply for the enjoyment of the environment in a means of transport that allows you to admire the landscapes to the maximum.
The pre-seasons that some professional or amateur teams carry out on the islands demonstrate the quality of the infrastructures, the mild climate of the islands, and their landscapes, complemented by the favorable conditions for cyclists of all shapes. Within the archipelago, the island of Majorca offers different itineraries either between the towns of the island or through the Tramuntana mountain range where you can enjoy this sport.
The first route we recommend is the Palma-Andratx route, which is approximately 65 kilometers long. The route runs along a mountain road with sea views and breathtaking scenery at every turn. This route passes through part of the Tramuntana mountain range, a World Heritage Site, and runs through the south of Majorca. The route is very easy as no mountain pass is too difficult for the cyclist.
The second route we want to talk about connects the towns of Palma and Puerto de Sóller and has a distance of 90 kilometers. It is a bicycle route for experienced cyclists as it has a large number of gradients. This route passes through the Tramuntana mountain range’s four most emblematic municipalities, such as Espoles, Valldemossa, Deià, and Sóller.
