The Colombian artist wowed the crowd with his music at the prestigious Starlite Festival in Marbella last Friday.
Even though there was a slight delay at the beginning of the performance, the crowd were swept off their feet once the show kicked off with his well-known song “ A Dios le pido”.
Juanes, sporting a casual and alternative look with a mustache, wore a promotional long sleeve t-shirt of his latest work, something quite unusual for a warm summer night at this time of the year in the Costa del Sol, managed to dazzle the crowd with his fusion of pop and Latin rock in the closing of the Spanish leg of his tour entitled “Amarte Tour”.
Like a good wine, the show got better with time as Juanes combined tracks from his latest album, “Mis planes son amarte”, with his greatest hits that are always crowd pleasers.
“Para tu amor”, “Fotografía”, “Nada valgo”, “Es por ti” and “Camisa negra” were just a few of the songs played as the crowd cheered and sang along to a simple Juanes giving it his all to the audience in Marbella as he called for the crowd to dance and sing along with his catchy choruses.
He then followed up with tracks from his new album including “El ratico”, “Bendecido”, “Es tarde”, “Mis planes son amarte” and “Esto no acaba”.
Constant changes in rhythm delighted the concert goers, along with more lively rhythms like the cumbia dance version of “Oye mujer” or the bachata of “La paga” and “La noche”, were mixed with pop rock, Latin and reggaeton mixes of songs like “Mala gente” and “Pa dentro”.
