We know that wine tourism is in fashion. Proposals such as Primavera de Puertas Abiertas of the Rías Baixas Wine Route prove it. Almost 1,000 people participated the weekend of May 19-21 in one of the proposals of this Wine Route in one of its sub-areas. The objective was to learn a little more about the wine culture. They visited wineries, enjoyed the landscape and the environment, strolled through villages and towns, soaked up the culture in museums, all seasoned with the best Rías Baixas wines and km0 gastronomy of our territory.
Experiences like this are wine tourism, which you live with friends and family and then continue to enjoy when you share them with other people close to you. That is why every year the Open Doors Spring on the Rías Baixas Wine Route continues to grow in number of participants until it reaches almost a thousand. Activities such as the well-known “Wine Buses”, which this year had 12 in total with 288 places available and which were once again sold out. What to say about other more innovative proposals such as Music and Wine along the Miño river with a capacity of 56 people and Wine Tourism on Pedals along the O Salnés sub-area with 20 places. All of them were full.
But also the hiking route, the yoga, the different proposals of tastings, pairings, the catamaran and the visit to the Centro de Interpretación do Viño e da Lamprea “Arabo” had great affluence and what to say about the free visits to some of the 24 wineries associated to the Ruta do Viño Rías Baixas that participated in this initiative or the special prices for restaurants and accommodation for the members that were part of this project promoted by Turismo de Galicia. A resounding success!
