Ryanair has launched a new service through the Ryanair.com website selling//offering yearly multi-trip insurance to its 119 million customers. The company said it wants to offer the best travel insurance with the cheapest air fares in Europe.
The company has launched this service in partnership with Europ Assistance, one of the leading insurance providers in Europe. Customers will have access to extensive coverage on an unlimited number of flights all around Europe, with up to 28 days cover in each location.
The multi-trip insurance came about after the success of other initiatives such as Ryanair Car Hire and Ryanair Rooms and is part of latest digital innovation from Ryanair Labs “Always Getting Better” programme. It includes a personalised website and mobile app and plans to make Ryanair “Amazon of travel.”
Greg O’Gorman, Ryanair’s Director of Ancillary Revenue, said: “As we continue to grow our annual traffic to 130 million passengers in the next 12 months, our customers have expressed an increasing need for annual travel insurance, so we’re delighted to announce the launch of this new service on the Ryanair.com website.
