The list drawn up by the prestigious daily newspaper USA Today concludes that there’s an extensive profile of travellers who plan their trips around dining experiences, even going so far as to book a flight or hotel for a particular restaurant.
The only common denominator reflected in the survey is that all the restaurant on the list are also very popular with locals.
TATEL Madrid has been selected as one of the 25 restaurants worth travelling for, as reported this week by the prestigious newspaper USA Today –the most read daily in the US. The survey was carried out together with the leading travel and restaurants platforms: Kayak and Open Table.
The survey reflects the unstoppable importance of food for a wide profile of travellers who book restaurants that they’re going to visit in a destination long before they book transport or accommodation.
This select list published by USA Today is based on the views of American users of these leading platforms and includes the 25 hidden-gem restaurants around the world “worth flying for”. These restaurants span the globe, ranging from London to Hawaii to Cancún to Tokyo to Sydney and Madrid, with TATEL Madrid as the sole reference in the Spanish capital – one of the most visited cities in Europe with more than 10 million tourists coming to Madrid in the last year.
The common denominator of all these restaurants in the survey is that they’re all hugely popular with locals and also a ‘must’ stopping point for tourists planning to visit these cities.
This recognition is a direct consequence of TATEL’s dedication in creating traditional food with a meticulous staging and decoration typical of the 1920s that since it opened has attracted domestic and foreign visitors as the ranking shows.
TATEL Madrid is not only a recommended restaurant for those living in Madrid, but also an experience, thanks to its artistic style, live music and performances seven days a week.
The ranking also shows that visits to these restaurants let travellers converse with the restaurant staff, who in the case of TATEL Madrid are experienced professionals that know very well the capital’s gastronomic offer and can recommend the best markets, terraces, bars and cafés to complement their customer’s foodie experience.
We’re very proud that TATEL Madrid is included in this list compiled by the prestigious USA TODAY newspaper from user reviews. From the beginning, we’ve wanted to turn TATEL into a leading restaurant for the locals here in Madrid and also an attraction for tourists who love good Spanish food, and it looks like we’ve achieved it. The challenge now is to continue offering a unique dining and leisure experience in Madrid” Says Manuel Campos Guallar, CEO and Founding Partner of MABEL CAPITAL, the investment company behind Grupo TATEL.
