The Blue Bot app is a new Google Home tool that lets you know what you need to take on your next trip.
This new interactive assistant uses artificial intelligence to give travellers suggestions on what to take with them on their next journey, using Google Home’s smart speaker system.
The novelty lies in the fact that users are now able to interact with Blue Bot – KLM’s smart robot – which has its own helpful, professional, contemporary and friendly personality. These characteristics help to ensure that the traveller won’t forget anything when the time comes to pack their suitcase.
Blue Bot and Google Home
Google Home is a system that allows users to send microphone commands to interact with various services. By simply asking the device for KLM, the user can access the Blue Bot feature to check what luggage they need to take. The app’s developers anticipate being able to send reminders to the user’s favourite social media platforms via Google Home in the future. The travel app could even give advanced alerts of the possibility of rain and other climatological conditions.
BB (Blue Bot) was first presented in September 2017, offering KLM clients the opportunity to book tickets through a Messenger conversation. The bot works via artificial intelligence. Put simply, this means that the more the user interacts with the bot, the more intelligent and personalised the service will be. BB is also available on devices that are compatible with Google Assistant, where they can book flights via the Messenger platform. They can also install it in the Google Assistant on any smartphone, using it to find a location, book a flight and pack their luggage.
