The World Travel Awards (WTA) is preparing to welcome the elite of global hospitality to the Maldives for the Grand Final 2016.
The event will be held in the glamourous The Sun Siyam Iru Fushi on Friday the 2nd of December with more than 300 industry leaders expected to attend the event.
Graham Cooke, the World Travel Awards President, has said it will be “a pleasure” to welcome the guests to The Sun Siyam Iru Fushi.
“With just a few hours to go before the event, we’re putting the final touches in place and defining the organisation so that everything is perfect.”
Regional Gala Ceremonies have already taken place in Tanzania, Peru, Italy, Jamaica, Vietnam and the United Arab Emirates during the years. The winners from each of the regional events will all attend the Grand Final.
The World Travel Awards were created in 1993 to acknowledge, award and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the tourism industry.
Today, the WTA brand is recognised all over the world as the ultimate hallmark of quality, with winners setting the stands to which all others aspire.
Each year World Travel Awards organises a series of regional gala ceremonies around the world to recognise and celebrate individual and collective successes within each key geographical area.
The event is also considered to be one of the best networking platforms in the travel industry as it’s attended by government and industry leaders and international media.
